As a part of our work trip to Lethbridge region Solar Plantation completed this 45KW solar project in summer 2016. This one was one of the three project completed. Schletter Canada managed to manufacture and ship all materials before originally scheduled date. One of the challenges that we successfully overcame was locating underground high-pressure plastic irrigation pipes. We proved that an old farm method using wire hangers or metal marking flags works great – no irrigation pipes where damaged! All projects in this trip were completed ahead of schedule.

Solar Plantation scope of work included: soil sampling, engineering, site layout, pile-driving and racking installation. The project is completed under Alberta Growing Forward program and in a partnership with Solar Optix.
